Healing Spirit Animal Wellness Center provides integrative medical care to cats, dogs, and rabbits. We offer a broad range of medical, dental and surgical services, complementary and alternative therapies, including acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, and homeopathy. We have an expanded in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, and ultrasound imaging to guide diagnosis and help us provide the most appropriate treatment. We are dedicated to delivering individualized care to best meet the needs of each patient in a calm, tranquil environment.
Healing Spirit has evolved from a single doctor mobile practice (formerly Veterinary Housecalls), founded by Dr. Sarah Green in 1997. After nearly a decade of traveling throughout Humboldt County, we gradually made the transition to a stationary practice to better accommodate the needs of our patients.
In 2008 we were joined by Dr. Desen Ertunc (pronounced R-toonch), a graduate of Humboldt State University and the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. We are very fortunate to be assisted by a dedicated and compassionate support staff. They are Bill, Ryan, Trena, Wendy, Jose, Vanessa, Ashley, and Aischa.
